Mileage Club. Yearbook. Science Fair. Field trips. Classroom Support. Our families contribute their 20-hours-per-school-year of volunteer time in a number of ways. Sometimes at school; other times at home or even on the run. We are proud of our active parent community. Join us for one of the opportunities below! To receive more information about our volunteer opportunities, please join the PTO and contact our Board or Committee leads in Fundraisers or Services.
Log your hours! Yup, those volunteer hours sure count. And for more than just time with your kiddos and support of our community. Volunteer engagement is a goal of the school 's strategic plan, and having this data is helpful when making reports to JA's Board of Directors and to the district (for things like renewing the charter) and potentially for other stakeholders as well. As part of the Strategic Plan, each campus is looking at ways to increase volunteerism and possibly investing in new software to make it easier for school personnel to identify who might be available and qualified to help with different projects. Our school board often applies for grants throughout the school year, and logging your hours helps us earn those grants. In addition, PTO uses the reports to recognize those who give generously of their time.
Good news! When you enter the campus as a volunteer during school hours and sign into the RAPTOR system, your volunteer hours are automatically logged.
If you have worked at home (completing a teacher project, laying out a yearbook page, or cooking) or on the run (i.e. shopping for hospitality, or soliciting donations), please enter those manually here.
Note: If you have additional family members who volunteer BUT you want to track hours under one name, have that person sign in as a visitor when at school, and then later enter the time manually under the name you wish to track under.
