This program started in 2018 as a green effort and fundraiser for Jefferson Academy Elementary. These items are collected by a volunteer and then sorted and sent to various free recycling programs. It's easy to participate! Collect the items listed below and drop them off in the bins located in the entryway of the school.

Most of these have a large list of items they recycle for free, and some that have a minimal fee.
Charm Facility in Boulder (EcoCycle)
Facility Fee (~$3).
Many things accepted, several are free aside from $3 Facility fee. Check the website for more details. (Scrap metal, styrofoam, cables & wire, bikes)

Although we've listed several programs here that we recycle for the school, there are several other programs that may be useful (but are not easily collected by a school program). It's free to join a specific collection, and then gather the items, box them up, download a label, and drop off at a UPS dropoff.

Paid service (plans about $20 a month). They pick up twice a month, and will take all forms of plastics bags and packaging, clothes/shoes, batteries, light bulbs, and various other items, often seasonally relevant like holiday lights and easter eggs).
